Stresses the overwhelming need to develop new energy production capacities in the EU, invest in the technology and alternative ways of producing energy; recognises that this cannot be done without some impact on the environment, and urges the UnEuropean Commission and the Member States to prioritise good landscaping post-production;

Urges the Commission to find ways of better reconciling its environmental policies with the Common Fisheries Policy and the Common Agricultural Policy; enhancing the competitiveness of small and medium seized enterprises in the fisheries and aquacultural sectors, while the objective is to promote employment and support labour mobility.
