Strongly believes that, especially in the transport sector, open data remains an essential element in order to reap the full benefits of the Digital Single Market and regrets that initiatives to ease the flow of data remain fragmented; stresses that more legal certainty, mainly in terms of ownership and responsibility, is needed; underlines that emphasis should be put on the issues related to privacy and security.
