6. Points to the importance of EU-UN partnership in addressing the root causes and consequences of global refugee crises and humanitarian emergencies; reiterates the fundamental importance of transparent use of development aid and coordinated action by all international actors at the same time as providing technical assistance and mobilising adequate resources; calls, therefore, for further cooperation and dialogue in the preparation of the 2016 Humanitarian Summit; considers that, in this respect, one important stage in the preparation of the 2016 Humanitarian Summit is the coordination of immediate provision and of gifts in kind.
