7. Urges the Commission to deliver on its objective to foster improvements in the ready-made garment sector, including through a strong gender focusby devoting greater attention to gender equality in the field of wages and to ensuring that businesses in the export trade are required to pay the minimum wage laid down by law, regulation or sectoral collective agreement in the country concerned; calls on the Commission to make gender equality a central focus of its flagship legislative initiative;
