Calls on the Commission to use its influence in order to provide joint complaint-handling machinery for the national enforcement bodies in the form of a central electronic clearing-house; believes that the clearing-house should advise passengers lodging complaints and, to save time and costs, refer them to the appropriate national enforcement body; recommends, as regards the information and advice to be obtained through the clearing-house, that a standard e-mail address be adopted and an inexpensiv free EU-wide hotline set up;
