Calls for special forms of data protection for undocumented women who turn in such situations to hospitals, doctors, women's shelters, counselling services or religious counsellors and for the protection of workers in these establishments who acquire knowledge about irregular residence; calls for the implementation of Directive 2011/36/EU on preventing and combating trafficking in human beings and protecting its victims in all Member States;

Draws attention particularly to the situation of undocumented women who are pregnant or have children: they need special protection for the unborn child and a legal entitlement to health care and the right to a birth certificate for their children in accordance with Article 7 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child; stresses the need to ensure that women with irregular or unclear residence status can access medical care without subsequently having to fear prosecution and/or deportation;
