Emphasises that tax legislation, includingWelcomes the Commission’s proposal on the simplification of the Value Added Tax (VAT), remains within the competence of individual Member States andporting obligations and on "simplified invoicing" for distance selling and emphasises that in the area of tax legislation, including VAT, the principle of subsidiarity should be respected in this regard;
