Draws attention to the increasing importance of carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies in reducing carbon emissions, not only in the energy sector; states that, according to the IEA CCS roadmap, in 2030 half of all CCS projects will be in the industrial manufacturing sector; points out that implementation of these technologies should not decrease the competitiveness of the European industry;
