In this regard, requests that the new legislation take into account greater preventive and palliative aid in order to confront the infestations of invasive species that already severely affect broad areas of Community territory. Considers that, until the planned legislation on invasive species enters into force, the appropriations to the territories currently affected by infestations of species included in the IUCN catalogue and the DAISIE system should be handled in a urgent manner;
