Calls on the Commission, in cooperation with the European Institute for Gender Equality, to further improve Member States’ reporting systems so as to make it possible to assess the support provided under cohesion policy for genuine progress on gender equality and to what extent this is being achieved;

5. Calls on the Member States to use the available EU funds more actively to finance equal treatment for women, the development of family- friendly, high- quality, affordable and accessible care facilities which allow better reconciliation of work and family life.
