3b. Requests that when CAP funding is allocated, due account be taken of professional farmers, i.e. those who actually live on the farm, as opposed to those such as large business groups or investment funds which use agriculture merely as an alternative financial investment system;

Considers that CAP funding should not be reduced but, rather, be modulated in order to boost the actual productivity of cultivated areas and to achieve the objectives of protecting the ecosystem, biodiversity, protecting the health of consumers and farmers and obtaining quality agricultural products;
