Calls for new standards for CO2 emissions from cars and vans to be set for 2025 and 2030 on the basis of a linear trajectory and at a level corresponding to an annual improvement of at least 6-8 %, corresponding to 70 g New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) in 2025 and 50g NEDC in 203030. The new standards should be calculated as a percentage reduction from the 2021 WLTP values. A mid-term review in 2025 needs to be employed to evaluate the state of low-emission vehicles on the market in order to ambitiously adjust the 2030 targets if appropriate;
