3. AppreciatWelcomes the Agency’s activities to develop, gather and provide reliable and relevant information, analysis and tools on occupational safety and health, which contribute to Union policy aiming to promote healthy and safe workplaces across the Union; highlights the need of ensuring adequate human and financial resources allowing the Agency to continue implementing its work programme with a very high activity completion rate;

4. Notes with satisfaction that the Agency is an active member of and contributor to the EU Agencies Network shared services and that it collaborates actively with a number of agencies, in particular with Eurofound and, CEDEFOP, the European Chemicals Agency and EIGE, in order to avoid overlaps and ensure synergies; stresses its importance, autonomy and added value in its field of expertise;

6. Expresses its concern over the remaining high level of committed appropriations carried forward from 2019 to 2020, which stood at 22 %; recalls that such high carry-overs were also reported for the financial years 2016, 2017 and 2018, and callsthat this is in contradiction with the budgetary principle of annuality; calls, therefore, on the Agency to analyse the underlying reasons and to improve the budget planning accordingly;
