Is if the opinion, nevertheless, that more could be done to increase general awareness of the impact of EU funding in Northern Ireland, in particular by informing the general public about the impact of EU-funded projects for the peace process and the general economic development of the region and promoting examples of best practice, with an emphasis on projects carried out at cross- border level;

Believes it desirable that, post- 2020, Northern Ireland should be able to continue to participate in the EU’s general cohesion funds if possible, as that would benefit economic and social development, particularly in disadvantaged and rural areas, and would help to reduce the gaps by comparison with other EU regions;
