Points to the need for pragmatic solutions with regard to advertisingrecent judgments of the Court indicating that, in order to attain the objective of keeping gambling under control, it is necessary for, and sponsoring of, sports events by Internet gambling provideruthorised organisers of gambling games to provide a reliable alternative to unregulated gambling services, which may also entail, inter alia, a certain volume of advertising and the use of new marketing techniques; is of the opinion that common advertising standards should be adopted which sufficiently protect vulnerable consumers, but at the same time make sponsorship of international events possible, and that advertising bans are in any case ineffective;
