Recognises the existence of supply problems with raw materials for the wood- working industries and for the renewable energy sector and insists on the importance of the ‘cascade’ use of wood products (i.e. firstly for wood-based products, secondly recovered and reused or recycled and finally used for energy) as fundamental criteria in developing renewable energy policy criteria;
