Regrets that the assessment of the applications for financial assistance due to the major public health emergency caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, which were submitted by the official final deadline of 24 June 2020, were delayed, resulting in the Commission submitting its proposal for the mobilisation of the European Union Solidarity Fund with a 9-month delay;
