Stresses, further, the importance of a full knowledge of the host country's language for the full integration of immigrants and their families; calls on Member States to act responsibly vis-à-vis immigrants, providing immigrants with the necessary means to learn the language and culture of the host country, while allowing and encouraging them to maintain their own language;
