Proposal for a regulation

Annex A – chapter 13 – point 13.04 – paragraph 1
Regional accounts comprise the same set of accounts as national accounts, in that they make regional economic structures, developments and differences visible. Conceptual and measurement problems result in a set of accounts for regions which are more limited in scope and detail than the national accounts. In view of the scale of public spending at regional level, comprehensive spending figures must be supplied for regions down to NUTS level 2, so as to ensure greater transparency in the use of public money.
Amendment 62 #
Proposal for a regulation
Annex A – chapter 13 – point 13.08
Annex A – chapter 13 – point 13.08
Regional accounts shall be compiled on the basis of regional data collected directly, and, where special exemptions apply, of national data with regional breakdowns based on assumptions. The more complete the data collected directly, the less the role of assumptions. The lack of sufficiently complete, timely and reliable regional information, requires assumptions in compiling regional accounts. This implies that some differences between regions are not necessarily reflected in regional accounts.
