Assistant director of the European Community Information Office in Paris 1958-1973. Head of international relations for the MRP (Popular Republican Movement) 1952-1958.
  • National secretary of the CDS (Centre of Social Democrats) responsible for European affairs, and member of the party's political bureau.
  • Has been a member of a section of the Economic and Social Council, head of the private office of, and then special assistant to Mr Jean Lecanuet, Minister of Justice 1974-1976.
  • Author of an historical introduction to 'Le Tiers Monde', a work produced by the Institute for Demographic Studies, and 'Les Partis politiques et l'Europe - La Démocratie Chrétienne en France'. Contributor to several political journals.
  • Knight of the Legion of Honour.
