Urban planning surveys, specialist in monument restoration; studies, publications, books (on architecture, building restoration, historical studies and research). Has published seven books.
  • Member of the EDHN (Centre Union Youth Movement) Central Committee (1974). Member of PASOK (since 1976).
  • Prefect of Lesbos and Chairman of the Prefectoral Council (1983-1987).
  • Member of the Greek Parliament (1989-2004).
  • Undersecretary for Culture (1994-1995). Minister for Tourism (1995-1996). Minister for the Aegean (2000-2004).
  • 'Arts et Lettres' award from French Republic.
